From Friday, Dec. 6 to Sunday, Dec, 8, Carolyn Romano, founder of Bliss Healing Arts, an alternative and spiritual healing center, hosts a Grand Opening/Open House Weekend at her new location in the Millpond Square Building, 63 Great Road/Rte 117, Maynard, MA.

Take a break from the holiday bustle while you pick up fresh ideas for keeping mind, body, and spirit balanced and healthy during the coming weeks and into 2014. Festivities will kick off Friday night at 7pm with a drumming circle followed by light refreshments. Drumming is an ancient practice that builds harmony, restores connection with the earth, and supports group consciousness. Plus, it's a lot of fun! Bring your own drum or rattle, or borrow one of ours.

On Saturday, Bliss will open from 10am to 1pm for mini-lectures on mind-body medicine, self-repair, and the emotional roots of disease. You can participate in a guided meditation for stress reduction, a group intuitive Sacred Path card reading, and a chakra balancing demonstration. Then, on Sunday, from 10am to 1pm, Carolyn will talk about a psycho-spiritual approach to weight loss as well as the benefits of a mind-body practice when dealing with cancer or chronic illness. You can also learn more about the ancient practice of shamanic journeying -- meditating to the beat of a drum -- and sign up to experience your first journey.

Crystals, aromatherapy, sage, and other healing items will be available for purchase or order throughout the weekend. Free raffles for "Bliss Bucks" will be held each day and can be redeemed for services. All of the weekend events are free of charge.
